Talkeetna-based Denali Brewing Company will release its highly anticipated Denali Spirits Whiskey Batch #4 on the Kenai Peninsula this week.
The decision to release the next batch of whiskey in Kenai stemmed from Denali Brewing’s relationship with Country Liquor in Kenai, Denali Brewing Company General Manager Sassan Mossanen said.
“They are always saying ‘yes’ to our products,” Mossanen said. “This is a collaborative work.”
This is the first time the company is releasing a product outside of Talkeetna. Mossanen said the company hopes to continue releasing future products in communities across the state.
“We felt we should go out and show our appreciation and go and visit all of these different communities, starting with Kenai,” Mossanen said.
Denali Brewing makes a limited amount of each batch of whiskey, and the first three batches of their whiskey went fast.
“The first three were released here in Talkeetna and sold so quickly,” Mossanen said. “One batch was sold out in less than 45 minutes.”
Denali Brewing only recently started to make whiskey. The company is well known for its beer, but also produces meads and spirits.
Mossanen said Batch #4 is by far his favorite out of the whiskey Denali Brewing has produced thus far.
Residents can taste the newest batch Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at the Bridge Lounge in Soldotna. The newest batch will be available for purchase Wednesday only at Country Liquor in Kenai.
